Route description: Departure at 8:30 a.m. Parking lot in Graines. The route begins along a dirt track and then heads along a beautiful mule track into the beautiful Frudière valley, passing through coniferous forests, rhododendrons, blueberries and touching on alpine pastures and old ruins. Lake Frudière or Lake Grana is located in a ‘magical’ basin with brilliant colours, thanks to the many streams, the dense vegetation, the last pastures and the lake's reflection. A lunch break at the lake follows. We return via the alpine pastures of the lake, Chastellet and then the little bridge at the crossroads, along the same route as the outward journey, which can alternate with parts of the old mule track. The route includes a packed lunch, prepared by ‘Il Pranzo di Babette’, another location that appears in the film, and carried by the mule during the hike.
